How do you choose your team – 6 questions to ask yourself
When Kyle Stewart moved from Jamaica to Canada he had a dream of playing soccer for Ryerson University. This video chronicles his long, difficult journey to achieve his dream – and the lessons his coach learned about selecting the best players for his team.
Take 9 ½ minutes to view the video and then ask yourself:
- What are your criteria for team selection?
- How do you spot talent?
- How do you know that you have the right talent?
- How important is attitude and are you willing to forego aptitude (talent and skill) for the right attitude?
- When you are wrong, how easily do you admit it and maybe even celebrate it?
- What is the role of luck or that unforeseen, unplanned circumstance that literally changed the game?
(Admission: Kyle is my nephew)
